Five of Our Must-Try Restaurant Partners In Tampa Bay

If you’re anything like the Tampa Bay Watch, team, you LOVE oysters. Our team is always on the look out for the best spots to enjoy a dozen of these delectable treats, and luckily, we’ve found five spots to cure that craving. These local restaurants are also praticipants in our Shells for Shorelines program, where restaurants recycle oyster shells with Tampa Bay Watch for use in our various restoration projects. Because what’s better than a delicious meal and helping the enviroment?

  1. The Tides Market

This charming little restaurant in Safety Harbor is our favorite spot for one-dollar oyster happy hours every night of the week. Led by Chef Jon, The Tides focuses on their food being thoughtfully sourced and simply prepared. Resulting in flavorful, fresh pairings that pack a bold punch. Just recognized by the Florida Michelin Guide, whether you’re there for the oysters, or for the main dishes, The Tides is sure to become a favorite.

2. The Helm

A collaborative, raw bar and restaurant experience located in St. Pete Beach that serves up delicious seafood and leans heavily into coastal-inspired flavors? Yes, please! The Helm serves up everything from Maine lobster rolls with a Florida twist, to crispy southern fried chicken and waffles. We can’t forget about the oysters! We personally love their Oysters and Marrow consisting of baked oysters with garlic and cognac, with roasted bone marrow on top. Is your mouth watering yet? You’re sure to find a fantastic atmosphere and more than one oyster at The Helm.

With four locations, including one right on the St. Pete Pier, Doc Ford’s is calling our name. A staple in St. Pete, this sun kissed spot is serving up coastal flavors galore. From raw oysters on a half shell, to the juiciest grouper sandwiches, Doc Ford’s has the menu everyone loves. Whether you’re a visitor or a long-time local, Doc Ford’s is sure to impress time and time again.
